Moderating your boards
You moderate your own project boards from inside the thread and from Forum config: reports, held posts, pins and locks, and a mute or block on a member. Platform-wide sanctions are DappFactory's.

Two pages
Forum is the forum itself. Read every board, start topics, reply as your project or as yourself, quote a post, and moderate your own project boards from inside the thread. Platform boards are moderated by DappFactory: you can post, reply, quote and report there, but not moderate.
Forum config holds the queues — Reported and Approvals — plus your boards' settings and your rules (see Your project boards). Everything is scoped to your business unit: you see reports, held posts and sanctions on your own projects' boards, nothing from other projects or from the platform boards. Reports about posts on platform boards go to DappFactory.
Starting a topic
Use New topic on any board. From All activity, pick the board first. Choose a post type — Standard, Image, Gallery or Poll — and the options: post as your project team or as yourself, pin the topic, or lock replies. The sizes, poll settings and alt text are described in Your project boards.
Moderating from inside a thread
On your own project boards every topic has a Moderate bar: Approve or Reject on a pre-moderated board, Pin, Lock and Delete. Each post has Hide, Delete and Sanction, and a reported post shows its reports with Dismiss, Hide and Sanction author. A farmer whose post you hide is shown the rule it broke.
On your own boards you can also close any poll early, and remove a single image from an image or gallery topic without taking the topic down — you pick the rule it broke, and everyone sees that the image was removed and why. On a pre-moderated board a farmer's images wait with their post until you approve it.
Reports
Any signed-in member can report a topic or a post with a reason. A report on one of your boards lands in Reported, and the same reports show on the post in the thread. Dismiss leaves the post up; Hide takes it down. You can add a note to either decision; it stays with the report.
Approvals
On a pre-moderated board a farmer's new topic, and any reply they add, is held until you act. Approve releases it — approving a topic releases the replies and images held with it — and Reject discards it. Your own team's posts never wait.

Sanctions
A sanction restricts one member rather than one post, and from your boards you have two: mute them for 24 hours, or block them from your project boards. Both apply to your project boards only, and you can lift either from the sanctions list.
If you believe a member should be restricted across the whole forum, use Send to DappFactory on the post or the report: it opens a request with the DappFactory moderators, who decide, and you get an alert with their answer. A platform-wide sanction is theirs alone.
Moderators
You can share the work. From Moderators, appoint someone over a whole project or a single board, choosing a kind:
- Team — a member of your business unit.
- Farmer — a trusted community member. The seat gives them the same moderation rights over those boards; the farmer app does not yet carry a moderation queue, so today a farmer seat is mostly a mark of trust shown on the board's roster.
Moderators act on reports, held posts, topics and sanctions inside their seat, and nothing beyond it. Remove a seat when it is no longer needed. Only DappFactory can appoint moderators over platform boards or the platform as a whole.
Notifications
The platform's forum settings decide which events email the people who can act — a new topic, a report, a held post — and whether moderators receive a digest. Those switches are DappFactory's.
