Posting to the feed

The feed is platform-wide. A post from your console goes out under your name with a business badge, into every farmer's feed by default, and you run what happens under your own posts.

Feed and forum

The feed sits alongside the forum rather than replacing it. The forum is where questions get answered on boards you run, with visibility and moderation you control. The feed is one open stream for the whole platform — short updates, images, polls, reactions — with house rules the platform team sets in one place.

Post types

Pick a type above the composer. Standard is text, up to 5,000 characters. Image takes one still or animated image. Gallery takes 2 to 10. Poll asks a question with 2 to 10 options, lets farmers pick one or several, and closes in 1, 3, 7 or 14 days — or never. A post needs text, media or a poll; it publishes immediately.

Every post from a console session carries a business badge next to the author's name, so a farmer can tell a team post from a farmer post at a glance. The author is the signed-in member.

Tagging a project

Use Project next to the post button to tag the post with one of your projects. Tagged posts show a project chip, and farmers can filter a project's posts. Leave it on No project for platform-wide updates.

Who sees it

By default a business post is broadcast — it appears in every farmer's feed on the platform, not only your followers'. The platform team can change that so business posts reach only the network of people who follow the author or whom the author follows. The platform team can also pin up to three posts above everything else.

Sorting and filtering the feed

Under the composer, sort by Latest, Most reactions, Most replies or Most viewed. Filter by who posted — Farmers only, Creators & teams, Platform — and by type. Clear resets all three.

New posts while you read

The feed does not shift while you are reading. New posts collect in a pill at the top showing who posted; click it to load them and jump to the top.

Reposting and quoting

Use the repost button on any post. Repost shares it with your followers as it is. Quote adds your own comment above the original. Undo repost takes a repost back.

Editing, hiding and deleting your posts

Use the ⋯ menu in the top-right corner of any of your posts. Edit post changes it in place, and everyone sees that it was edited. Hide from feed takes it off the feed without deleting it, so only your team still sees it, with Unhide to put it back. Delete post removes it. You can also edit or delete your own replies, wherever you left them.

Locking replies

From the same ⋯ menu, Lock replies stops new replies on one of your posts; replies already posted stay visible, and Unlock replies reopens the thread. If DappFactory locks one of your posts, the post says so and only DappFactory can unlock it.

Replies, reactions and reach

Anyone can reply to a post (a flat thread, up to 2,000 characters a reply), like it, and share a link that unfurls a public preview. A post's views count each signed-in viewer once; your own views do not count. The rail totals your posts, the reactions they received and the people they reached.

Replies under your posts

Open the replies on any of your posts to manage them. You can hide a reply (only its author still sees it), delete it, or stop that person replying to your posts. Reports that farmers make on replies under your posts collect in the Reports tab, with each thread opened at the reported reply.

Send it to DappFactory when a reply breaks the house rules. Muting or banning someone from the whole feed is their call, and you get an alert with their decision.

Reporting someone else's post

Report sits on every post and reply that is not yours. Pick a reason, add a note if it helps, and send it. Reports go to the DappFactory moderators, and the author is not told who reported them.

Profiles and following

Click any name or avatar in the feed to see their summary card, then View profile for the full page. Follow from the card, the post or the profile. Your business has a public profile of its own — see Your business profile.
