Buying and selling NFTs

The NFT Market lists items from every project's collections. You buy with SOL from your wallet, and anything you own can be listed for resale from the same page.

Browsing

The market lists items across every project's collections. Switch between For sale, All items and Yours; narrow to one creator or collection; search by item, collection or creator; and sort by recently listed, price or lowest royalty. Items appear as the platform mints them: a collection still minting shows its progress.

Open a collection to see its supply and how much of it is minted, its creator royalty, every item, what is for sale and what you hold. Every item and collection page also lists What holding unlocks: the boards, tasks, season entries, boosts and sales on DappFactory that holding an item from it opens — some sales open to those holders first, or to them only. Each collection is a set of separately minted items — either one artwork repeated as numbered editions, or a distinct artwork per item — and every item traces back to the same on-chain collection.

Buying

Open an item to see its price in SOL and how the sale is split. On a first sale by the creator, that is the platform fee and what the seller receives. On a resale it is the platform trading fee, the creator's royalty, the creator's commission and what the seller receives. The rates are set by the platform and by the collection, and they are shown on the item before you commit.

Buying is one SOL transfer from your connected wallet to the platform's payment wallet. The platform checks the payment on-chain, transfers the item to your wallet and records the split. The item then shows under Yours with its mint address.

Reselling

  • Your own items open the resale panel instead of a buy button.
  • Set your price, or match the collection's floor; the panel previews what you will receive after the trading fee, the royalty and the creator's commission.
  • Changing the price cancels the live listing and lists it again; cancelling takes the item off the market and keeps it yours.
  • Your wallet must be linked. To list, the wallet holding the item has to be the one linked and signed on your account.

What you receive from a resale is credited to your commission balance and leaves through Withdrawals.

Restricted collections and items

The platform team oversees the market. A collection that has been removed disappears from the market with its items, and nothing in it can be bought or listed. A collection whose trading is paused still shows, but a purchase or a new listing is refused with a message saying so; you can still cancel a listing of your own. An item that has been hidden leaves the market and any listing on it is cancelled. A purchase you had already paid for still settles.

If an item looks wrong — copied artwork, offensive content, an impersonation, a scam — open it and choose Report this item, pick the reason and add a note if it helps. Reports are anonymous and go to the platform team, who can hide the item or dismiss the report. You can have one open report per item.

The block at the top of the market shows one collection. Paid placements in it are not live yet.

Collections by DappFactory

Some collections in the NFT market are made by DappFactory itself rather than by a business. They carry a By DappFactory badge, and their royalty goes to DappFactory. Use the Creator filter to see only DappFactory's collections or only business ones.

They follow the same rules as every other collection. DappFactory moderates its own collections too, so a hidden or frozen one behaves exactly like a business collection that has been hidden or frozen. On a resale the split is DappFactory's royalty and the trading fee — there is no creator commission on top; on a first sale DappFactory charges itself no platform fee.
