Paying for invites

On a community project you can pay members cash for each person they invite who becomes genuinely active. It is funded from its own budget, never from the prize pool.

What it is

The invite reward is a cash bounty for recruiting. When a member of your community project brings someone in through their personal invite link and that person becomes genuinely active, the member is paid a fixed amount in SOL from a budget you fund for this purpose.

It is only available on community projects on Solana. The card lives on the project's detail page, and holds the terms, the on/off switch and the budget.

The terms

  • Per qualifying invite is the amount paid, in SOL, for each invitee who qualifies. It must be above zero.
  • Tasks they must complete here is how many tasks the invitee has to finish on this project before the invite counts. The platform sets a maximum, shown under the field.
  • Per member caps how many invites one member can be paid for. Leave it blank for no cap.

Save the terms before you fund the budget — the top-up control only appears once terms exist. You can change the terms at any time; the amount in force when an invitee qualifies is the amount paid.

What qualifies

An invite qualifies when all five conditions hold for the invitee:

  1. They are a member of this project, and joined after the reward was first switched on. Switching it on never pays for the members you already had.
  2. They have completed the number of tasks you set, on this project. The count is lifetime for this project — it does not reset when a season closes.
  3. They have linked a Solana wallet.
  4. They have connected a social account.
  5. They have verified their email.

The wallet, social and email checks always apply; you cannot switch them off. The inviter must also have a verified email: nobody earns on DappFactory without one. If the inviter has not verified theirs, the reward waits for them and is paid once they do.

An invite where the inviter and invitee share a linked wallet is recorded as rejected and never paid.

How it pays

  • Cash, never points. Inviting does not move anyone up the leaderboard.
  • Single level. You pay the person who invited; nothing flows further up the tree.
  • Once per invitee, per project. An invitee can only ever qualify once here.
  • It outlives the season. The reward keeps paying after the season closes, until the budget is spent or you switch it off.

A background job checks the invitees still qualifying regularly. When one passes all five conditions and the budget and cap allow, the inviter's claimable balance is credited, and they withdraw it through the same path as commission. Your Per member cap counts paid rewards only.

The platform team can reverse a paid reward — after a ban, or a self-invite found later. The amount returns to your budget and the row keeps both entries. A reward the inviter has already withdrawn cannot be reversed.

The budget

The budget box shows Invite budget (what you funded), Paid out (with the count), Waiting to qualify (with the count and the amount they would claim) and what is Left to pay from.

Invites waiting to qualify are not reserved. The budget is only debited when an invitee actually qualifies, and an invite is never paid short: if the budget cannot cover it, it waits.

  • An amber warning means more is waiting to qualify than is left. If everyone still qualifying gets there, the last to qualify will wait for a top-up.
  • A red warning means the budget is spent and qualifying invites are waiting unpaid. Top up, or switch the reward off so nobody is promised a reward that cannot be paid.

Funding

Type an amount and press Fund. It is paid in SOL from your Fee payer wallet as a normal charge, with no buffer and no fee — the whole amount becomes budget. Top up as often as you like.

Switching it off

Switch off stops all payment at once; the budget stays where it is. Switch on again and the same invitees carry on qualifying from where they were. Nothing is ever paid while the reward is off.

What members see

Members see the offer on their Project invites page in the farmer app: the amount, the tasks required, their own invitees with the conditions each has met so far, what they have earned, and a notice when the budget is spent or their cap is reached. The invite landing that newcomers open also states the offer, and says so when the budget has run out.
