Refer & earn: bringing other businesses to DappFactory

Share your referral link, and every business that signs up through it is attributed to you. Once they are active, e-mail-verified and hold a verified organisation the referral is qualified. The top referrers earn free Pro.

What the programme is

Refer & earn rewards a business for bringing another business to DappFactory. It is not the farmer invite link, which recruits members into one of your projects, and it is not the affiliate or influencer role on the Recruitment page, which shares commission on a project's fees. Those bring farmers to a project. Refer & earn brings creators to the platform, and the reward is a free plan rather than a commission.

The page sits under Referral system → Refer & earn in the console sidebar. It is shown to the business unit's admins and to team seats whose role carries the revenue permission; other seats do not see it.

Open the page once and your business unit gets a permanent referral code. The link on the page is the creator sign-up page with that code attached. Copy it with the button beside it and share it wherever you like: a message, a post, a footer on your own site.

The code never changes and is never re-issued, so an old link keeps working. A business that signs up through it is attributed to you at the moment the account is created. The attribution is written once: a business can be referred by only one referrer, the first code it signed up with, and a business cannot refer itself. If someone signs up without your link, there is no way to attach them to you afterwards.

When a referral is qualified

The page counts two things: Referred, every business that signed up through your link, and Qualified, the ones that currently meet all three of these conditions.

  1. The account is active. A suspended or closed account does not count.
  2. The account owner has verified their e-mail address. This is the verification that counts; it is not organisation KYC.
  3. The account holds at least one verified organisation. Verification of an organisation is covered in the "Getting your organisation verified" article.

Qualification is worked out fresh every time the page is read, so the status of a referral can change in both directions. A business you referred last month moves from Pending to Qualified the day its organisation is verified. A business whose account is suspended drops out of your qualified count while it is suspended.

In the list under Businesses you've referred each row shows the business name, the date it joined and a Qualified or Pending pill. You never see the other business's e-mail address or billing details, and the other business never sees that it was referred.

How you are ranked

Every referrer on the platform is placed in one ranking. The order is by qualified referrals, highest first. Two referrers with the same qualified count are ordered by total referrals. The Your rank counter shows your place once you have at least one qualified referral; until then it shows a dash. The DappFactory team sees the same ranking, with every referrer on it, in its console.

The rewards

The rewards are set by the programme and issued by it: when a round closes, the winners' codes are created without anyone at DappFactory touching them.

Position in the rankingReward
Top 5, each with at least 1,000 qualified referralsOne year of your paid plan free
Ranks 6 to 20, and a top-5 referrer under 1,000 qualifiedThree months of your paid plan free

The team may also recognise a few referrers of its choosing with an Award of excellence, independent of the ranking.

Rounds are monthly. On the first of each month the ranking as it stands is closed off, and every winner is issued a personal code worth 100% of their plan's price: a one-off code for the yearly plan in the top band, or a code that applies for three monthly payments in the second band. DappFactory can also close a round early by hand. The code appears under Rewards on the Refer & earn page and in your alerts, is yours alone (nobody else's account can use it), and stays redeemable for a set number of days shown beside it. You redeem it yourself on the Plans page: pick the paid plan you hold, Pro or Business, and the monthly or yearly cadence the code was issued for, enter it in the Discount code box, check the discounted price shown, and continue. A 100% code needs no card. When a repeating code runs out, the subscription renews at the normal price unless you cancel first.

Two rules stop the same business collecting twice. No new reward is issued while an earlier one is still live, meaning its code is unredeemed or the free months it bought are still running. The annual band is won at most once in any twelve months, counted from the day the code was issued.

What does not count

  • Sign-ups that never verify the owner's e-mail address stay Pending for as long as that is true.
  • A business that creates an organisation but does not get it verified stays Pending.
  • Your own business unit can never be its own referral.
  • Farmers you recruit into a project through an invite link are not referrals here. They are counted on the Recruitment page.
