Creating an organisation
An organisation is the legal entity behind your projects. Every project belongs to one, so it is the first thing to set up — and the whole business profile is needed before it can be saved.

Why an organisation
Every project belongs to an organisation: the registered company, studio or sole trader behind it. Verification looks at the organisation, not at you personally, and when a competition publishes its official rules it is the organisation — its registered name, number and address — that is named as the promoter.
A business unit can hold more than one organisation. Each has its own profile, its own people and its own documents, and each is verified on its own. How many organisations your plan allows is shown on the Plans page; when you reach that number the form tells you to upgrade.
What the form asks for
Enter the details as they appear on the company register — the registered name, not a trading name.
- Business profile — the registered name, the registration number and the authority that issued it, your sector, website, email and phone.
- Registered address — street, city, state or region, country and postal code, as they appear on the register rather than where you work.
- Major share owner — the first name, last name and email of the person who owns the largest share. Phone, website, LinkedIn and address are optional.
- About — what you do, your mission and vision, and a logo. All optional, and the only parts farmers see.
The whole business profile, the registered address and the major share owner are needed before the organisation can be saved. There is no partial save, so have the register details to hand and fill the form in one sitting. Once saved, the organisation shows as Draft — which means saved but not yet submitted for verification, not a half-finished form — and you can come back to change any single field.

The people on the profile
Verification is about who owns the company, who represents it legally, and who is applying on its behalf. The form has a section for each:
- Major share owner — required at save. Before the organisation can be submitted, this person's photo ID and proof of address are uploaded.
- Legal representative — the person who can sign on behalf of the company. Details only; the platform never asks for their documents.
- Applicant — the person applying to the platform on the company's behalf. Optional to declare, but once declared they need the same two documents as the owner.
If one person fills more than one role, enter them in each section. The platform does not assume the owner is also the applicant.
Documents come next
Saving uploads nothing. Documents are added from the organisation's page after it is saved, one file at a time, each filed against the company, the major share owner or the applicant. The Getting verified article covers which documents are accepted and the submit step.
Editing after you save
Edits are partial: change one field and the rest stays as it was. What you can change depends on the organisation's status.
- Draft and Rejected — everything is editable.
- Pending — the profile is locked while the platform team reviews it. Your projects keep running.
- Verified — still editable, but changing something verification relied on (the registered name, registration number or authority, the address, the owner, the legal representative or the applicant) sends the organisation back to Pending for another review. Cosmetic edits — website, mission, logo, phone, sector, email — keep it verified.
Once an organisation is verified its documents are locked; they open again only if it returns to review.
Where the organisation is used
You choose an organisation when you create a project, and the project stays with it. On a plan that defers verification you can create a token launch or a community campaign on a Draft organisation; a raise or an NFT collection always needs a verified one, and withdrawing revenue waits for verification too. The Alerts page tells you when the platform team has decided.
