Creating a project

A project is the thing you are putting in front of farmers. The type you pick first decides everything the rest of the form asks for, and it cannot be changed afterwards.

Every project begins the same way: you choose what kind of thing you are launching. That choice decides the steps that follow and what is fixed the moment the project exists.

Choosing a type

TypeWhat it doesBest when
Token launchA tradable token on Solana. Instant opens a bonding-curve pool as soon as you sign; Community season farms points first and converts them to tokens at its end.You want a token, with or without community first
Community supportA points competition with real prizes. No token, no tokenomics — rank decides who wins. You want a campaign, not a token
RaiseCollects SOL over a fixed window against a share of your supply. No per-token price up front; it emerges at close. You need capital up front
NFT collectionMints artwork to your own wallet. You list it and earn a royalty on every resale. Sold by rarity, it can open to holders of a collectible first — see Holder keys. The artwork is the product

What the organisation is for

The organisation is the legal entity behind the project — the thing verification checks and the name a farmer sees on the project page.

  • A token launch or a competition can be created on an organisation that is not yet verified if your plan defers verification: revenue accrues, and only withdrawal waits.
  • A raise or an NFT collection needs a verified organisation and an active paid plan. See How the raise supply split works and Uploading collection artwork.

Basics

Name and symbol are on every project. The symbol is the ticker for a token and the short handle for a competition; it is unique within your console and permanent. Category is a label farmers see on the project card; the logo feeds a token's on-chain metadata.

Website and Telegram are required; X and Discord are optional. All appear on the project page and in a token's metadata.

Contact email is required on every type and is private: never written on-chain or shown to farmers. It is how the platform reaches you about the project.

Product details — stage, type, a description, and links to the app or store listings — are asked for on token launches and raises; the stage decides which are required.

Cluster: devnet first

While the platform's dev mode is on you choose a cluster: devnet for testing, mainnet for real money. Devnet costs nothing and is the only way to see a pool, a season or a mint before real money is involved. It cannot be changed later; with dev mode off, every project is on mainnet.

Token launches: instant or a season

An instant launch waits for your in-browser signature, then opens its bonding-curve pool with you as the first buyer. It needs no season settings, cannot carry a commission, and its token is immutable from birth.

A community season launch asks for the season — name, start and length — plus the airdrop allocation that funds conversion and the points rate, the ceiling a point can be worth. It can carry a claiming commission (the farmer pays its fee when they claim) and a project commission, and downline earning lets uplines share in claims. Who pays the launch cost is a platform setting; if it is you, the project waits in awaiting payment until the charge clears.

When the season ends the platform freezes the conversion rate at the lower of your ceiling and the allocation divided by the points farmed. While the season is live you can commit a payout share of that rate; it locks at the freeze. See Running seasons.

Joining and approvals

Who can join — invite only (the default) or open to anyone. On an open project, credit code-less joins to decides who a join without a code is credited to: your team, or the top-ranked influencer. Auto-approve farmers lets farmers in at once; off, they wait under Join requests. Affiliates and influencers always need approval. All three can be changed later.

NFT collection: who can buy

On an NFT collection built from a marketplace template, the Listing step carries Rarity pricing and, once Price by rarity is on, Who can buy: Everyone, Holders first (holders of a collectible you pick until a date you set, everyone after) or Holders only. What opens it is a holder key like any other — your templates or collections, or DappFactory's — and the setting is fixed once the sale opens. DappFactory's own collections can be gated the same way. The rules, and what farmers who are kept out see, are in Holder keys: what holding opens.

Terms

Every project carries participation terms. A new project starts with the platform's default; the first time you save your own version it becomes the project's, and you can reset at any time.

What is permanent

Most of the form can be edited afterwards. A few things cannot: the type, the symbol, the chain and cluster, and for a token its decimals and supply, written on-chain when it mints. A season token's freeze and mint authorities are yours to renounce from the project page; an instant token has neither. On a competition, the prize and the participant floor fix once funded.

After you create

The project appears under Projects. From its page you add tasks and media, on a competition a prize or keepsakes, and you edit its links, product details and joining rules — see Editing a project.
