Marketplace templates
A marketplace template is a layer set for an NFT collection you sell. Create a collection from it and the platform composes every item, writes its traits and mints the supply you choose.

Templates live under NFT → Marketplace templates. You create and edit them exactly like collectible templates: New template opens the upload screen (a zip with a manifest.json, a zip of folders, a manifest.json on its own, or start empty), you review what was found, then edit layers, traits, weights, optional layers, conditions and rules in the editor. See Your own collectible templates for the editor itself.
Marketplace templates have no claiming fee; you set the price and royalty on the collection. A published version is fixed; edit it as a new version to change the art.
Creating a collection from one
- Projects → Create project → NFT collection, or Create collection on the Marketplace page.
- **In the Artwork step choose From a template**, pick one of your published templates and set the supply.
- The supply can't exceed the template's combinations, or the platform's maximum for a set, so no two items repeat. Combinations count what the template can really draw: switched-off layers and traits are left out, and rules and conditions are applied.
- Everything else is the same as any collection: the listing step — including Price by rarity and, with it on, Who can buy, which can open the sale to holders of a collectible first (see Holder keys) — the royalty and its recipients, the mint charge.
Each item gets its own combination, drawn so that none repeats. Its traits are written into the metadata, so buyers can filter by them and rarity is computed from the set. The first item becomes the collection cover.
What happens next
The platform composes the items in the background before minting starts; the collection page reads Composing your items from {template} — N of M done while it runs, and minting follows on its own. If composition fails, the page says why and Run again restarts it. Supply, artwork and the template version are fixed once composition starts, so a later edit to the template never changes a collection already made from it.
Exporting a layer set
Export, at the bottom of the Layers card, downloads the template as a zip or the manifest alone. Placeholders export as colour blocks, so you can hand the zip to your designer and import their finished set back as it is.
